The attorneys at Lantz & Robins, P.C. believe that an important key to success begins with a quality education.

We understand how pursuing an education while trying to take on other activities can often times become cumbersome.

That is why we want to hear from students about the challenges they’ve dealt with and how that’s impacted who they are today.

Essay Overview

This year we are asking students to write an essay about a few of those challenges they have faced and how they were able to overcome them.

We are asking students to write a 150-300 words essay about the following: Describe an obstacle that you overcame, what was important, or significant about that obstacle. Then, answer what you took away from the experience.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be high school seniors that are graduating in summer 2021; or
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university for the start of the fall 2020 semester.


  • Applications and essay must be submitted before December 31st, 2021; and
  • The winner of the scholarship will be notified no later than January 15th, 2022.

Scholarship Reward

The winner of the contest will receive a $1,000 scholarship to put towards their college tuition costs.
